Your information, explained clearly.

This policy describes what PAYNEXA collects, how information is used and shared, how it is protected, and the privacy choices available to you.

1. Scope and responsibility

This policy applies to the PAYNEXA mobile app, website and related support channels. PAYNEXA is responsible for deciding how personal information is used for these services. Some transactions also involve an independent payment, identity or product provider with its own privacy responsibilities.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, phone number, referral information and account identifiers.
  • Security and device information: session, device, app version, network, login and security-event information.
  • Wallet and transaction information: wallet entries, payment references, beneficiaries, orders, provider responses, refunds, withdrawals and support history.
  • Identity information: information required for KYC or funding-account verification, including verification status and provider references.
  • Service content: the minimum information needed to fulfil a selected service, such as recipient details, virtual-number messages or temporary inbox content.
  • Communications: support requests, feedback, notification preferences and messages you send to us.

3. How we use information

We use information to register and secure accounts; authenticate users; provide wallet, funding, withdrawal and digital services; show order status; prevent fraud and abuse; calculate prices and refunds; communicate service notices; provide support; maintain records; improve reliability; and meet legal or provider obligations.

Where applicable, processing is based on providing the service you request, legitimate security and operational needs, compliance with law, or your consent.

4. Who may receive information

We share only what is reasonably needed with service providers that support PAYNEXA, including:

  • database, authentication, hosting and infrastructure providers;
  • payment, funding-account, bank-resolution and identity-verification providers;
  • the supplier that fulfils your selected airtime, data, bill, virtual-number, email, eSIM or other order;
  • email, push-notification, customer-support, monitoring and security providers;
  • professional advisers, regulators or authorities where disclosure is lawfully required.

We do not sell your personal information as a data-broker service.

5. How we protect information

PAYNEXA uses access controls, restricted administrative roles, encrypted network connections, server-side secret storage, monitoring and audit records. Passwords and transaction PINs are designed to be stored as one-way hashes rather than readable text.

No online service can promise absolute security. Use a strong password and unique PIN, keep verification codes private, and contact us promptly if something looks wrong.

6. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, security, dispute handling, provider reconciliation and legal or financial recordkeeping.

  • Virtual-number messages and temporary-email content are scheduled for deletion within 24 hours after the service closes, unless a shorter provider period applies or retention is lawfully required.
  • Wallet, ledger, transaction, refund, withdrawal and audit records may be retained for longer where needed for financial integrity, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
  • Identity records and provider references are retained only for as long as required for verification, risk and compliance purposes.

7. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, restrict, object to, transfer or delete personal information, and may withdraw consent where consent is the processing basis. You may also raise a concern with Nigeria’s data-protection supervisory authority.

Send a request from your registered email address to support@paynexa.ng. We may verify your identity before acting. Some records cannot be deleted immediately where they are needed for an active order, dispute, security investigation or legal obligation.

8. Website and external links

The public PAYNEXA website does not create an account or currently use advertising cookies. Hosting and security systems may process basic request logs. The site loads its public landing-page configuration and may link to app stores or external providers; those destinations have their own privacy practices.

PAYNEXA services are not intended for a person who cannot lawfully enter into the service agreement. If you believe a child’s information was submitted improperly, contact us.

9. Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy as PAYNEXA, provider requirements or applicable law changes. The current date will appear at the top of this page, and material changes may be highlighted in the app.
